Muga silk is indigenous to the state of Assam and geographically tagged to Assam. Muga is a symbol of rich Assamese culture. The silk is known for its extreme durability.

Handloom effects – All handwoven pieces are unique in a way can be termed as ‘one &only’ as it differs from weaver to weaver. Again, one weavers’ state of mind at the time of weaving leads the beating that shapes the texture of the fabric.

Handloom defects – Handloom Products may have slightly different shading in a single piece due to different thickness of hand reeled yarns and weavers beating techniques. There may be uneven salvage or missing threads due to the nature of hand weaving.
