Mekhela Chador” with a blouse piece is a traditional Assamese outfit for women. Out of this three-piece outfit, one is Mekhela, the bottom portion is draped from the waist downwards while another is Chador tucked into mekhela and draped around the upper portion of body with a third piece top called blouse.

Handloom defects – Handloom Products may have slightly different shading in a single piece due to different thickness of hand reeled yarns and weavers beating techniques. There may be uneven salvage or missing threads due to the nature of hand weaving.
