Eri silk is a pure natural silk from north eastern part of India. “Mekhela Chador” with a blouse piece is a traditional Assamese outfit for women. Out of this three-piece outfit, Mekhela,
the bottom portion is draped from the waist downwards while another is Chador tucked into mekhela and draped around the upper portion of the body with a third piece top called blouse.

Handloom effects – All handwoven pieces are unique in a way can be termed as ‘one &only’ as it differs from weaver to weaver.Again, one weavers’ state of mind at the time of weaving leads the beating that shapes the texture of the fabric.

Handloom defects – Handloom Products may have slightly different shading in a single piece due to different thickness of hand reeled yarns and weavers beating techniques. There may be uneven salvage or missing threads due to the nature of hand weaving.
