Muga silk is indigenous to the state of Assam and geographically tagged to Assam. Muga is a symbol of rich Assamese culture. The silk is known for its extreme durability.

Gamosa is used as shawl or stole in the state of Assam. Gamosa is widely used for felicitation purposes and honouring guests.
