Muga Tie

Muga Silk is one of the rarest silks on the earth. The colour of the silk is naturally golden. Muga silk is
indigenous to the state of Assam and geographically tagged to Assam.
Handloom effects – All handwoven pieces are unique in a way can be termed as ‘one & only’ as it
differs from weaver to weaver. Again, one weavers’ state of mind at the time of weaving leads the
beating that shapes the texture of the fabric.
Handloom defects – Handloom Products may have slightly different shading in a single piece due to
different thickness of hand reeled yarns and weavers beating techniques. There may be uneven
salvage or missing threads due to the nature of hand weaving.
