MULBERRY SILK GAARI SAREE

This is a raw mulberry and mulberry blend silk saree. This saree is a special weave called ‘gari’ in Assamese. Warp is while mulberry and raw mulberry in stripes, weft is naturally dyed pink color mulberry silk giving a very soft and sheer look of the saree. All motifs are done with Eri silk in natural white colour.

Handloom effects – All handwoven pieces are unique in a way can be termed as ‘one & only; as it differs from weaver to weaver.  Again, one weavers’ state of mind at the time of weaving leads the beating that shapes the texture of the fabric.

Handloom defects – Handloom Products may have slightly different shading in a single piece due to different thickness of hand reeled yarns and weavers beating techniques. There may be uneven salvage or missing threads due to the nature of hand weaving.
