“Mekhela Chador” with a blouse piece is a traditional Assamese outfit for women. Out of this three-piece outfit, one is Mekhela,the bottom portion is draped from the waist downwards while another is Chador tucked into mekhela and draped around the upper portion of body with a third piece top called blouse.
